LCD Enclosure and Industrial Display Protection

There has been a revolution in display technology over the last few years. Thanks to the development of touch screens, due in part to the mobile phone explosion, this type of technology can be found everywhere.

Touch screens have long been favoured in industrial applications because there is no need for separate input devices such as keyboard and mouse. Industrial touchscreen devices have long been favoured for their ease of use and ruggedness too.

LCD and digital signage is another revolution of the display and monitor sectors. These devices have come down in price dramatically and it is now just as inexpensive to use a digital signage or an LCD display than it is to have an old-fashioned 2D sign created and installed.

Keeping any digital signage or industrial display secure and protected is the only challenge, particularly if the LCD, plasma or digital signage is to be placed outside where it has to be protected from vandalism and theft or in an industrial area where elements such as dust, dirt and liquids need to be kept from saturating the device.

When needing an industrial display device such as an industrial LCD or industrial plasma, the key is to select a well designed LCD enclosure. Many manufacturers now produced packaged industrial LCD enclosures or industrial plasma enclosures, ideal for any industrial display applications or outdoor digital signage.

These industrial LCD enclosures can be manufactured and designed to cope with any environment, they can even be produced under European guidelines such as IP65 or IP54 (and the US NEMA equivalents),
