As a consequence LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) technology has completely overhauled CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) screens which are now obsolete. As a result TV and display screens have never been cheaper and the applications for LCD seem to be growing at an increasing rate.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.armagard.co.uk\/digital-outdoor-signage\/digital-outdoor-signage.html\">Digital signage<\/a> seems to be the next media revolution with LCD\u2019s now finding their way almost everywhere with LCD\u2019s now seen on concourses, colleges, schools, high streets, retail units, airports, railway stations, hospitals, factories and pharmacies.<\/p>\n<p>One of the main challenges of this new advertising and information sector is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.industrial-computer-enclosure.co.uk\/lcd-enclosure\/lcd-enclosure.htm\">protecting the LCD screens<\/a>. For indoor use this is normally just ensuring the screen can withstand a good thump and is secured in unmanned areas.<\/p>\n<p>However, when the digital signage is placed outdoors then it is important to protect the screen from the elements. Wind, rain, sleet, snow and bright sunlight will not only damage the LCD but could permanently disable it.<\/p>\n<p>It is essential therefore that all outdoor digital signage is adequately protected from the elements. Transflexive screens or optical bonding can protect the image quality from the sun but to protect the LCD itself it has to be sealed form the rain.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.armagard.co.uk\/lcd-enclosure\/lcd-enclosure.html\"> Waterproof LCD<\/a>s are available but these are fairly expensive and not very flexible.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.industrial-computer-enclosure.co.uk\/lcd-enclosure\/lcd-enclosure.htm\">Waterproof LCD enclosures<\/a> are a less rigid alternative. These devices not only protect from the wind and rain but also can assist in cooling and heating allowing the LCD to be used in hot and cool areas.<\/p>\n<p>Most <a href=\"https:\/\/www.armagard.co.uk\/outdoor-digital-signage\/outdoor-digital-signage.html\">outdoor digital signage<\/a> enclosures are designed to European IP 65 which denoted the protection against water ingress.
