Spill Response Under the Environment Agency's Duty of Care, you are required to have emergency spill response provisions. Our Spill Kits provide an easy-to-use selection of absorbents and other products to plug leaks, contain and clean up spills. The type of absorbents you need will depend on the type of liquids likely to be spilled. There are three grades: Workplace Good general-purpose variety that absorbs most workplace liquids such as oils, coolants, mild solvents and water. Oil Only Use specifically for hydrocarbon oils such as petrol, diesel and lubricants. Repels (rain)water to maximise the take up of spilled liquid. Chemical Absorbs ALL liquids including hazardous chemicals such as acids and caustics. Useful for when the type of liquid is unknown.
